| More Offer Ideas |
Here are some more excellent offer ideas to attract customers and boost sales:
The Monthly Payment Plan. This is a great way to sell pricier items or services. While $150 might sound like a lot, "three easy payments of $49.95" doesn't sound so bad.
The Big Spender Award.Try offering a special benefit or discount if a customer spends over a certain amount. "10% Off All Sales over $200" and "Free Shipping on All Orders over $200" are two examples of rewarding big spenders. Customers who planned on spending $160 (to use the same examples) will frequently up their order to get the special benefit, even if it's less than the additional amount spent.
The Large Order Award. This is similar to awarding big spenders, but instead of offering special benefits for people who spend a certain amount, you offer special benefits for people who order a certain number of units. "Buy four and get the fifth free!" This will also get many people to buy more so they can take advantage of the special offer.
The Extended Warrantee.Customers like to feel safe. They don't want to worry about their purchase, about whether or not they really got a good deal. Offering an extended warrantee will calm these fears. "Lifetime warrantee!" and "longest warrantee in the business!" are proven draws, and, believe it or not, the longer the warrantee, the fewer the returns.
Free Repairs.Another way to make customers feel secure in their purchase is to offer free repairs for applicable products or services. If you stand by your product or service you'll very rarely have to make good on this offer, and not everyone who buys the product or service will take advantage of the offer anyway. But as a marketing tool, the free repair offer is extremely effective.
Satisfaction Guaranteed.Yet another way to make your customers feel safe, thus inducing them to open their wallets to you more quickly and consistently. If a customer is unhappy with your business, you give them a refund. Like free repairs, this offer will seldom be redeemed if you stand by your product or service. And "...or your money back!" is one of the most powerful phrases in marketing.
